CFED, a national nonprofit, recently inaugurated innovation@cfed to accelerate the next generation of strategies to expand economic opportunity for Americans.

innovation@cfed will harvest new ideas for policy, practice and programs that help Americans build assets and put them on surer financial footing. We will do that through the three program components: Innovators-in-Residence, Innovative Ideas and Innovation Summits.

In January 2009, we'll begin formally accepting the ideas and the innovators with whom we'll work to make real, scalable progress in expanding economic opportunity. We are putting our full support behind this program. Chosen innovators will receive up to $50,000 and winning ideas will receive a generous prize.
