AIDS Brigades: New Undergraduate NGO Seeking Leadership.

NGO:

Mission: To start an NGO that will provide AIDS/HIV testing and counseling to rural villagers and direct them to treatment. To pursue an awareness initiative to statistically at-risk populations, specifically rural villagers in developing countries

Who: A volunteer force made up of college students passionate about public health seeking global public health experience

Where: We aim to start in the rural village of Sunam, Punjab, India where field research has already been conducted by Sonia Gupta during the summer of 2008.  We hope to expand this throughout the villages of India and other developing nations.

This NGO is in its initial stages and has been working with students, professors, HIV clinics, and other AIDS/HIV organizations to materialize its unique vision.  If you are interested in becoming a part of this revolutionary effort, especially if you are looking for a leadership role in public health, please contact Sonia Gupta at  This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript
