Distressed Children and Infants International (DCI), is a US-based, non-profit child rights organization created by Dr. Ehsan Hoque to help the poor and underprivileged children in Bangladesh, India and worldwide lift themselves out of poverty by providing them with basic life necessities, education, and health care through programs like the Sun Child Sponsorship. 

Dr. Ehsan Hoque is the founder and executive director of DCI, a medical doctor whose research fields include cardiovascular pharmacology and physiology with a special focus onischemia-reperfusion injury of the heart, and neuroendocrinology with a focus on aging, and a dedicated child rights activist.

Part of UNICEF's Children's Week.
