Dear Yalies in New York! 

Many thanks to all of you who joined us recently at some of our fabulous events.  YAAMNY's mission is to connect Yalies in New York and in the past two years we organized or collaborated on 140+ events, which is more than in the preceding 15 years combined!  In fact, we just won the first AYA Board of Governors Award for Excellence in the category of Outstanding Major Cities for our leadership in alumni outreach and community impact. 

We are writing to ask for your help today.  YAAMNY is all-volunteer, does not charge any membership fees and welcomes all Yale alumni to its programs.  We hope you will consider a tax-deductible donation so that we can continue to produce an innovative array of activities and opportunities for alumni to connect not only with one another, but also with the vast resources of New York City and Yale in a way that makes a real impact in the local community.  Click on the button to donate or send us a check at the address listed below.

Many thanks to YAAMNY's committee members and other active volunteers who have worked hard throughout the year to develop and organize programs.  And congratulations to the following new board members who will begin their term in January: Lisa Lee '91, Jeremy Leeds '76, and Stephen Scher '56 and Ph.D. '66.
 
And many thanks to alumni who have donated to YAAMNY and/or attended one of our development events, including the Benefit Soiree -- our first fundraising event, attended by more than 200 alumni.
 
We make Yale matter in this world capital city through these community connections and through our unique and year-round public service programs culminating in an unsurpassed Yale Day of Service participation in partnership with The Yale Club of New York City (600 participants in 2009 with 17 sites and many more participants in 2010 with 35 sites). We aim to recruit at least 1000 participants in NYC for Day of Service in 2011.
