Spread the Word to End the Word is an international campaign, which was piloted here at Yale, to end the derogatory use of the word "retard" or "retarded."  Next Wednesday, 3.2.11, Yale Students for Special Olympics  will be posted around campus asking people to pledge to end their own use of the word.  In the meantime we will be selling t-shirts for $5 each to be worn on the day.  The event is sponsored by Special Olympics, Best Buddies, and Dwight Hall.
