Join CAW4KIDS and spent a Saturday afternoon engaged in a creative workshop for children ages 5-10. The workshops are designed to build social skills, enable self expression and provide a safe and peaceful play-time for kids. We are seeking 10 volunteers for the day between the hours of 11:30am and 3:30pm. Meals will not be provided during the event. The volunteers will serve as mentors during an instructor-led class. There will be 1 mentor for every 3 kids. The day begins with preparation and a general gathering of volunteers and the kids. Story-time begins and each mentor will assist the children with reading a story. Later the mentor will work with the children as they create an art project in response to the reading. At the end of the event the art work will be on display for participants and volunteers to view. This is a family friendly event.
