 * PUBLIC SERVICE/SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE * HOLIDAY TOY SORTING *

The Public Servic/Social Justice Committee of the Yale Alumni Association of Metropolitan New York is pleased to return to the Yorkville Common Pantry, a 2009 Day of Service Site, to help out with the ANNUAL TOY SORTING.

A Great Big THANKS to all our volunteers -- this event is filled.

This event is split into two shifts:

Morning: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and

Afternoon: 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm

Come out and join fellow Yale Alumni in spreading holiday cheer by sorting donated toys for children in need. Volunteers are needed to sort through and organize toys into age and sex appropriate categories.

Yorkville Common Pantry is NYC's largest community-based food pantry and is dedicated to reducing hunger while promoting dignity and self-sufficiency. YCP champions the cause of the hungry through food pantry and meal distribution programs, nutrition education, basic hygiene services, homeless support, and related services. Each week, YCP distributes grocery packages to almost 2000 families.
