YAAMNY is excited to bring you an amazing opportunity. LUSH LIFE is a new exciting exhibition creating a lot of buzz in the art community, recently featured in the NY Times. Curated by Franklin Evans and Omar Lopez-Chahoud, LUSH LIFE takes place at nine Lower East Side galleries and adopts Richard Prices 2008 novel to title and organize the exhibition. The novel is set in the contemporary Lower East Side and through a murder investigation exposes the dynamically changing community of the neighborhood, which retains a ghostly and vital link to its layered past. Each gallery's exhibition reflects the theme of one of the chapters in the book. Over three hours, we will tour various galleries involved in the exhibition, including one gallery normally closed on weekends which has agreed to open to welcome our group! Jennifer Weissbach, an art advisor based in New York City, founded Jennifer Weissbach Art Advisory (www.jenniferweissbach.com) with the desire to make the art world accessible to everyone. Jennifer enjoys educating individuals about exciting and innovative art. She is passionate about demystifying the art world, and creates an open and warm environment during gallery visits so that people can talk freely and ask questions about the work. Please register at http://yaamnylushlife.eventbrite.com/ The LUSH LIFE art tour will meet at 1:45 pm in front of the restaurant The National at 8 Rivington Street (on the north side of the street), between Bowery and Chrystie Streets.
