PLEASE JOIN US FOR OUR NEXT DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING!

The Development Committee is looking forward to an exciting year fulfilling its mission to promote and support the Yale Alumni Association of Metropolitan New York and its commitment to enrich the cityscape and make a meaningful contribution to our community. Our goals for the year are: to promote the YAAMNY brand to the broader Yale community, to be a forum for multi-generational and multi-class interaction, and to liaison with other Yale organizations. In addition, we are committed to raising funds to execute YAAMNYs vision and to strengthen the Association and further facilitate meaningful engagement with the larger community.

Your presence, insights, and constructive engagement are crucial to our efforts, especially since we are a young and (excuse the pun) developing committee.  We hope you join us in making the Development Committee a magnetic force!

There are many new projects for 2011! We are planning another Benefit Soiree at an exciting new venue, capitalizing on the great success of our inaugural benefit to establish this into an annual much-anticipated event for our community.  Also, a fascinating book release event about restoring common sense and personal responsibility in America.  Additionally, there is work to be done to add greater sponsorship of our news letters and events.  These are to name just a few.

Created just last year, the Development Committee has already become a significant presence in YAAMNY.  In 2010, we hosted the first ever (and fabulously successful) Benefit Soiree; organized a book talk with best selling author Ron Chernow; and held a spa-sporting event.

We look forward to seeing you! If you plan on joining us, or if you have any questions,
