Participate in a day-long event at Horace Mann School: "Connecting Education, Values and Action:  Jane Addams and John Dewey, Then and Now."  The event is presented by the Center for Community Values and Action at Horace Mann and co-sponsored by YAAMNY.  Speakers at the event will be Louise W. Created just last year, the Development Committee hosted our first ever (and fabulously successful) Benefit Soiree, a book talk with best-selling author Ron Chernow, and a spa-sporting event.  Our goals for 2011 are to promote the YAAMNY brand, to be a forum for multi-generational and multi-class interaction, and to raise funds.  Another Benefit Soiree is in the works, as are monthly dinners filled with lively conversations among alumni. Join Artists on the Brink and the YAAMNY for a rewarding and intimately scaled studio visit to the architecture and industrial design studio of Moorhead & Moorhead. The visit will include an introduction to Granger and Robert Moorhead and their practice, representative projects, insights into their design process; and the working space, materials, and tools of a design team.  More details here.
