Please join Yale Alumni, students, and friends for the very First Fellowship Benefit to honor the memory of Annie Le, the 24-year-old Yale pharmacology doctorate student who was murdered on campus in September of 2009. The 2nd LBT (Lesbian-Bisexual-Trans) All-Ivy Women's Mixer at the Yale Club of NYC is taking place on April 16. Last year, 230 women attended this elegant & friendly evening. Alumni from the Ivy League, Seven Sisters, Stanford, NYU, Duke, UVA, Georgetown, Williams, Amherst, UCLA, and FSIX (Financial Services Industry Exchange, for gay professionals in financial services) & their friends are invited for this spectacular evening. Enjoy an open bar of beer, wine, soda and juice -- and a bounteous buffet of hors d'oeuvres (including a 3' tall chocolate fondue fountain) -- while you mingle.
Spring Mixer with Princeton Alumni
Join Yale and Princeton alumni at the wonderful Rubin Museum of Art in Chelsea on Friday April 16th! The event is free - just show up and enjoy. Located in the old Barney's department store building, the Rubin is home to a comprehensive collection of art from the Himalayas and surrounding regions. Happy hour in the lounge begins at 6PM and the gallery is open free of charge from 7PM. YAAMNY: Volunteers Needed for College Readiness Planning with School of the Future Students
YAAMNY's Educational Programs Committee, in collaboration with the Public Service & Social Justice Committee, is seeking volunteers to work with middle school students on college preparedness at the acclaimed School of the Future. Yale alumni volunteers will work with students on crafting a personalized strategy for educational success and map a path towards higher education under the auspices of Junior Achievement of New York. This opportunity is an exceptional chance to learn about a coveted public school while working with fellow Yale alumni. Though the 4:30 start time this is early for a week day, many employers may prove amenable to supporting your one-time participation in a meaningful, civic-minded project on a Friday with advance notice. Pullitzer Prize-winning playwright and Yale College playwrighting professor, Donald Margulies returns to MTC following this season's Broadway premiere of the crtitically acclaimed play, Time Stands Still. Collected Stories centers on a celebrated New York author and her bright-eyed young protégé. As their relationship evolves and the line between fact and fiction blurs, their fascinating story comes to a dramatic conclusion. Tony Award winner Linda Lavin and director Lynne Meadow, who collaborated on MTCs The Tale of the Allergists Wife, reunite for this new production.
