September Greeting from YAAMNY

Hi, everyone!

Hope your summer has been going well.

YAAMNY is ramping up for some exciting events in the coming months. In September we have several volunteer and networking events in addition to a sporting event, and we're already preparing for some educational, social/networking, and arts/entertainment events later this fall.

As always, volunteers are behind the success of these activities, and we'd like to announce two alumnae who joined the YAAMNY Board of Directors this summer: Anne Nakaoka Moss '77, Co-chair of the Public Service/Social Justice Committee and Pam Weinstock '89, Co-chair of the Social/Networking Activities Committee. We are delighted to have on board both Anne and Pam, who have already been active in organizing activities for alumni this summer. Anne has also taken on an additional role as editor of the YAAMNY.net website.

Speaking of volunteer leaders, we are also looking for an energetic and tech-savvy Yalie to help run the YAAMNY.net website. No programming experience is needed as the site is maintained through a content management system with a WYSIWYG interface; anyone who has ever worked on a blog would be a great candidate. We're seeking someone who can spare a few hours each month to help keep the site and newsletter running smoothly.

We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event. Meanwhile, have a great Labor Day weekend!

Best regards,
My
YAAMNY President
