In light of the recent presidential election in Haiti, the planned reconstruction in Haiti is at a critical point. Join a panel discussion on development initiatives in Haiti by practitioners in the fields, who will focus on several topics, including microfinance initiatives, role of private investments and U.S.-based nonprofits, and the importance of sustainable design.  Organized by the Haiti Assistance Task Force of the Public Service/Social Justice Committee in partnership with the Educational Programs Committee and the YWCA. Join us in May for the third annual Yale Day of Service! Thousands of Yale Alumni, family members and friends will gather to volunteer for meaningful events and projects ranging from the labor intensive (sprucing up parks, planting gardens & painting) to the more intellectually stimulating (assisting with job applications and tutoring) throughout the New York City Area and around the globe.

This second annual event will bring together Yale alumni in NYC for an evening of mingling, eating, and drinking at General Assembly, the gorgeous new urban campus for technology, design, and entrepreneurship in Manhattan. Refreshments include an open bar of wine, beer, and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets: $20 before May 19th, or $25 at the door. Cocktail attire. Feel free to invite guests. The YAANY Arts Committee provides a forum where alumni can learn from leading practitioners in the world capital of fine and performing arts and support those in the entertainment industry.
