Lori Laitman (Yale '75 BA, Yale '76 MM) is a classical composer specializing in artsongs. The Journal of Singing writes: "It is difficult to think of anyone before the public today who equals her exceptional gifts for embracing a poetic text and giving it new and deeper life through music." Songs of Hope is a recital series which begins October, 2007 in New York City, and ends February, 2008, in Seattle.  Soprano Janeanne Houston will be joined by organist/pianist Paul Richard Olson and oboist Shannon Spicciati and will be performing music by Lori and others.
