I spent this morning working with Jenny on formulating the goal and deliverables for the weekend.  It's incredibly interesting to work on figuring out how to adapt our currently completely virtual organization at yaamny.net into a sustainable volunteer organization that is capable of its own programs.

Often, the first couple of months of a new year prove to be a time of reflection and plan making. Many among us have likely made - and may already be re-evaluating - some resolutions for the months ahead.

I invite you to keep Yale and the Association of Yale Alumni (AYA) in your thoughts in 2008 and as you make your plans.

Consider taking a few moments to:

Update your contact information to ensure that you receive your copy of the ELIne newsletter from the Office of Public Affairs and other AYA/University communications.

Use the Online Alumni Directory to search for former Yale classmates and renew old Yale friendships.

Create/update your Yale Career Network profile and find peers to discuss professional challenges, investigate new career paths, or serve as a resource for current Yale students or other alumni.

• Open Yale courses: Free access to Yale undergraduate courses at your finger tips! Open Yale courses provide online access to a collection of  seven complete undergraduate courses. Watch high-quality video lectures and review syllabi, suggested reading lists, and problem sets.

We designed this website so Yale Club leaders and their members could collaborate on common goals. 

For this reason, we made the majority of the website accessible to everyone.  We hope that members and leaders will take the additional step of posting what they believe will be useful information to other members and leaders. 

Keeping in mind that some information (e.g. vendor pricing, leader contact information) may be personal or proprietary in nature, we decided to include the ability for pre-approved posters (generally Club Leaders) to post information that only other pre-approved Club Leaders may view.  Please contact XX to request pre-approved status.  Thank you for helping us build a website to help us all.
