In light of the recent presidential election in Haiti, the planned reconstruction in Haiti is at a critical point. Join a panel discussion on development initiatives in Haiti by practitioners in the fields, who will focus on several topics, including microfinance initiatives, role of private investments and U.S.-based nonprofits, and the importance of sustainable design.  Organized by the Haiti Assistance Task Force of the Public Service/Social Justice Committee in partnership with the Educational Programs Committee and the YWCA. Join alumni to run a race overseas! The Yale Eli Runners Association (ERA), started by YAAMNY, is considering going to New Zealand for this summer's alumni trip.  For race options, which include a marathon, half- marathon, 10K, and 5K, see 5 BRIDGES MARATHON AND FUN RUN.  In addition to doing the race on 8/21, we plan to hike on picturesque and pristine mountains, meet with local Yalies, and explore all that the beautiful country of New Zealand has to offer (8/12-8/22).
