YAAMNY: Volunteer with TASC College & Career Fair

Want to inspire a young person, serve as a role model and have fun?  YAAMNY is partnering with The After-School Corporation (TASC) for this week's College & Career Fair, which will be attended by hundreds of high school students.  Volunteer for a couple of hours -- review resumes, do mock interviews, and serve on career panels -- and make a difference in a young person's life.  

 

Curator-led Tour of "Art for All" at Yale Center for British Art

When:   August 14, 2010 12:00pm-4:00pm
Where:   Yale Center for British Art in New Haven, CT

Join YAAMNY for an excursion to view "Art for All: British Posters for Transport," with Yale Center for British Art curator Scott Wilcox and collector Henry Hacker ('65), followed by an informal lunch with the collector at a nearby restaurant.  "Art for All" features 100+ amazing posters from Hacker's collection for the Underground and British Railways.   $15 excluding lunch.  

 

Gourmet Pizza in Historic Location with Princeton Alumni

The brick-oven pizza gets great reviews and the historic location is unique - a five-story stained glass church building in midtown. There will be 8 Yalies and 8 Princetonians - all graduates from the last 15 years. Join Yale and Princeton alumni for this small group dinner!

Join 18 Yale and Princeton alums for a dinner and book party at the home of Pat Irving (Princeton '76), featuring a discussion with Kaiser Fung on his new book, "Numbers Rule Your World: The Hidden Influence of Probabilities and Statistics on Everything You Do."  This dinner is open to alums from Classes of 1970 - 1985.  $40 with book; casual dress.

SD#2 - it's YAAMNY's 2nd singles event of the year, now at Ardesia Wine Bar!  You'll have up to *15* mini-dates with Yalies and their friends including graduates from West Point, plus complimentary hors d'oeuvres and special door prizes for attendees (previous prizes included a free dinner for 2 and 4 bottles of wine). Bachelors will get to mix and mingle with interior designer Dale B.
