Yale Day of Service and More!

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Yale Day of Service. This world-wide event, organized by the Association of Yale Alumni (AYA) in collaboration with local alumni groups and clubs, brings Yalies together every May for service projects in their communities.  Like to do sports with kids? Panel Discussion -- Development in Haiti - Path to Success

In light of the recent presidential election in Haiti, the planned reconstruction in Haiti is at a critical point. Join a panel discussion on development initiatives in Haiti by practitioners in the fields, who will focus on several topics, including microfinance initiatives, role of private investments and U.S.-based nonprofits, and the importance of sustainable design.  Organized by the Haiti Assistance Task Force of the Public Service/Social Justice Committee in partnership with the Educational Programs Committee and the YWCA. Yale Alumni Runners Trip to New Zealand!

When:   August 12-22, 2011
Where:   New Zealand
Cost:   ~3500-4000, including int'l flights, lodging, and land package
 

Join alumni to run a race overseas! The Yale Eli Runners Association (ERA), started by YAAMNY, is considering going to New Zealand for this summer's alumni trip.  For race options, which include a marathon, half- marathon, 10K, and 5K, see 5 BRIDGES MARATHON AND FUN RUN.  In addition to doing the race on 8/21, we plan to hike on picturesque and pristine mountains, meet with local Yalies, and explore all that the beautiful country of New Zealand has to offer (8/12-8/22).
