The Lar Lubovitch Dance Company continues its 40th anniversary celebration with four performances at New York City Center, November 5-8, 2008. The season features several works from the company's extensive repertoire of more than 100 dances, including Lubovitch's newest work Jangle (2008), and his acclaimed Concerto Six Twenty-Two (1986), Men's Stories (2000), Little Rhapsodies (2007), Dvoák Serenade (2007), North Star (1978),and Whirligogs (1969).
Lar Lubovitch is one of this country's foremost choreographers. Recognized for his rich, fluid movement language, masterful musicality, and sophisticated formal structures, Lubovitch has been hailed by The New York Times as "one of the ten best choreographers in the world," and by Dance Magazine as "one of the world's most musical makers of dance."
