New YAAMNY Programs and Activities!

Happy spring!

March is just coming to a close, and already YAAMNY has organized or sponsored more than a dozen events this year. We are delighted that there is so much interest among Yalies to get together: 130 people attended the Yale Alumni of the '90s Party and enjoying time with classmates and making new friends. Already several alumni have expressed interest in organizing a Yale Alumni of the '80s Party. If you're interested in helping to pull together social events, feel free to contact This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript Janet Yang '07, Chair of the Social Activities Committee.  In addition to these "shared Yale experience" events, YAAMNY is also launching an "Explore New York City" program (see below for details).

The Career Development and Professional Networking Committee (led by Audrey Lebovich '97) is supporting a special talk given by Indra Nooyi (SOM '80 and a Fellow of the Yale Corporation) at the Asia Society on April 14th. Be sure to secure your ticket (details below) before they sell out! And if you'd like to organize career development or networking events, contact This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript Audrey.

Also, the Educational Programs Committee (led by Chad Berkowitz '00 and Karin Weiner '93) has been busy organizing events that provide an opportunity for intellectual discovery and discourse, such as a Yale galleries tour (geared toward those who enjoy smaller groups) and a lecture by NAACP President Benjamin T. Jealous about "Next Generation Leadership in the New Millennium: The Future of Civil and Human Rights" (co-sponsored by AYA and the Yale Black Alumni Association).

We welcome your feedback and ideas on programs you'd like to see YAAMNY sponsor.

Looking forward to seeing you at an upcoming event!

AIDS Walk New Haven is a great way for alumni to stay involved in giving back to the New Haven community. See the YAAMNY website for more information.
