What an exciting week it has already been! It is simultaneously National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, Haiti Week and Rosie Revisited Week for Work and Women!

LAST DAY TO SIGN UP for the YHHAP Fast for Haition February 26th, part of a Dwight Hall-sponsored campaign for Haiti. Your donated meal swipes will help the recovery efforts in Haiti as well as organizations that combat homeless in New Haven. Again, Thursday is your last day to sign-up!

Log in to http://www.yale.edu/sis/ and click on Dining System, then on the Yale Hunger and Homelessness Action Project to donate your swipe!

4. NEW Application for Student Board Member on the Dwight Hall Board of Directors:
If you are involved in any one of Dwight Hall's 85+ member groups and institutional programs, you are qualified to apply to the position.  You do not have to have led a group at Dwight Hall.  This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in the non-profit management aspect of public service, social justice, and advocacy!

There will be an information session Wednesday, March 3 in the Dwight Hall SJN Room from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

5. Have an idea for a short-term service project? Make your project a Dwight Hall Short Term Project! This semester, for the first time, Dwight Hall is opening up applications to individuals who would like to organize and execute a short-term service project. These projects should reflect Dwight Halls mission of fostering civic-minded student leaders who promote activism in New Haven and around the world. At the same time, short-term projects should be designed to accomplish their mission over the course of a semester or a year. If your answer to these questions is "yes," consider applying for the Coordinator position of the Wednesday Lunchtime Summer Soup Kitchen. The WLSSK was established in the summer of 2008 to distribute bag lunches to the homeless on Wednesday afternoons, and brings together a group of student volunteers and other community members.
