This is a pioneering study that will insure that children, from whom we demand responsibility and accountability, will also be treated accordingly without unjust punishment. I salute the Yale group, along with our own Craig Levine (B.A.'87), in their efforts to work on this very difficult and complex problem -- Cornell Brooks (YLS '90)

We are delighted to announce that the Juvenile Justice Reform Task Force of the YAAMNY Public Service/Social Justice Committee has been awarded the Community Builder Award from the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice.  The mission of the Task Force is to advocate for reform of the juvenile justice system and to assist at risk juveniles and those adjudicated as delinquent in obtaining access to social services and resources.  The Task Force will receive the award at the Institute's annual gala in the spring, where Jon Corzine will receive the Amy and Alan Lowenstein Social Justice Award and Larry Goldman (CEO of NJPAC) a Lifetime Community Achievement Award.  For more information about the group's advocacy or to volunteer, please click here or contact This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript .
