The International Festival of Arts & Ideas is seeking an undergraduate student to serve as an intern with the Arts & Ideas Fellowship Program. The program will give economically disadvantaged teens exposure to careers in the arts and various arts disciplines and will teach critical thinking and writing skills. The undergraduate intern will support in the administration of the program as well as serve as a mentor to students as they progress through the program.
This is a paid opportunity with a part-time commitment during May 2010 and a full-time commitment during June 2010. The selected intern will also be invited to participate in orientation and group activities for the Dwight Hall at Yale Summer Fellowship program.

Food policy implicates a broad range of pressing humanitarian, public health, and environmental challenges. The aim of the conference is to help participants bring about patterns of food production that honor the universal right to food, the health and well-being of communities, and the preciousness of natural resources. Olivier de Schutter, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, will deliver the conference keynote at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 16. Two tracks of concurrent panels a U.S. and an International track will convene on Saturday, April 17. The Healthy Neighbors Program, the Church Street South Apartments, and the Yale School of Nursing are holding our Spring Community Healthfair on Saturday, March 27th from 3pm to 6pm, and we want YOU to be there! As in previous years, the fair is being hosted by the Church St South Apts in their Community Center (34 Cinque Green, New Haven, CT), and we are expecting upwards of 200 neighborhood children, family, adult, and elderly resident participants.
