Food policy implicates a broad range of pressing humanitarian, public health, and environmental challenges. The aim of the conference is to help participants bring about patterns of food production that honor the universal right to food, the health and well-being of communities, and the preciousness of natural resources. Olivier de Schutter, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, will deliver the conference keynote at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 16. Two tracks of concurrent panels a U.S. and an International track will convene on Saturday, April 17. Conference registration is now open; for more information please visit the conference website (www.law.yale.edu/news/foodpolicyspeakers.htm). Registration is free for all Yale students, faculty, and staff and includes continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday, April 17.
