Does your organization provide summer internship opportunities for college students?  Do you work in a small business that is able to take on an eager college student this summer?  Are you a recruiter or human resources professional with knowledge of internships in a particular industry?

If you answered Yes to any of these questions, then you may be in a position to positively impact the life of current Latino Yale undergraduates.

The Yale Latino Alumni Association of the Tri State Area (YLA) is in the process of organizing a summer internship program that will give current Yale undergraduates a chance to get hands-on experience in a variety of fields.  The chart below illustrates students' current interest by sector:

       Did you know?

Most (80%) Latino undergrads are currently looking for a summer internship!

And 66% of Latinos would consider an unpaid position.

Most (90%) Latino undergrads are looking for a summer position varying from 4 to 10 weeks.

Most (75%) Latinos are considering positions in the Tri-State area.

Please take a moment to fill out the YLAs internship survey by clicking here.

The results of the survey will be used to build an internship database that will serve as an additional resource to Latino undergraduate students as they search for summer employment.  YLA members also plan to deliver workshops on campus designed to help undergraduates develop better interviewing skills, write better resumes, and learn the skills required to build a lifelong professional network.

Thank you for taking the survey!  We look forward to working with you!
