Who: You're invited to the Storehouse for World Vision
What: Help package goods for children and families in need.
Where: 885 East 138th Street Bronx NY 10454
When: 10:00am to 2:00pm
Why: Because our community needs you.

The Storehouse is a 47,000 sq. ft. warehouse where donations are received from various manufacturers and retailers.  Some of the items that are received include clothing, shoes, personal care products, school supplies, toys and office supplies.  World Vision then distributes them to people and children in need through
partnerships with various organizations.  World Vision partners with schools, churches, shelters, faith based organizations, community based organizations and other non-profits.  Volunteer work at the Storehouse usually includes sorting donations, stocking shelves, building kits or entering data.  It all depends on what types of donations are received that week.  Upon arrival there will be an orientation about World Vision's work in the community.  Then the group will get an explanation of the projects and be put to work.

Below are some guidelines for volunteers as well as directions to the facility.  We look forward to seeing you on May 12th.
