When:   April 13, 2009 5:00pm-6:30pm
Where:   Dwight Hall Library
Type:   Reception

Through the storied doors of Dwight Hall, the Center for Public Service and Social Justice at Yale, thousands have passed.

Now, Dwight Hall is taking time out to invite its many alumni, graduate students, teaching and Yale staff and members of the community back for a First Annual Dwight Hall Reunion on Monday, April 13, from 5-6:30 p.m. The event takes place in the Dwight Hall Library, 67 High St., New Haven.

Since its founding in 1881, Dwight Hall has retained its roots as an entirely student-run organization concerned with issues of social justice and public service.

“So many outstanding individuals have contributed to Dwight Hall’s storied past,” said Executive Director Alex Knopp. “They are important stakeholders who are equally as vital to our future. We want to bring them along on our next journey, as we prepare to move Dwight Hall to a new location next year.”

Along with the chance to mingle and enjoy refreshments, attendees will have the chance to learn more about the activities of Dwight Hall member groups. They also will have the chance to continue building Dwight Hall’s historic legacy. In a special feature, the Marketing Fellows of Dwight Hall are creating a Dwight Hall Photo Wall recognizing the many individuals who have served Dwight Hall over the years. To that end, attendees with photographs from their Dwight Hall days are asked to email a photo to  This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript  in advance, or to bring the photo with them to the event. A photographer will also be on hand at the reception. The Dwight Hall Photo Wall is an exhibit that will help to bridge Dwight Hall’s past and future during the next year. Dwight Hall is scheduled to move into a new location in the near future opposite the New Haven Green.
