The Yale Alumni Association of Metropolitan New York in collaboration with Insider Expeditions presents After Hours at Tracy Williams with artist Alyssa Pheobus '04.

Join Ms. Phoebus (ES '04) for an intimate after-hours discussion and aperitif inside the prestigious West Village gallery on the occasion of her solo exhibition. Alyssa Pheobus' stunning large-scale pencil drawings excavate the lyrics of love songs. Elegant in their execution, these handmade text drawings resemble machine-stitched fabric. A native of Frederick, Maryland, Pheobus earned a BA from Yale in 2004 and an MFA from Columbia in 2008. Her awards include a 2009 NYFA Fellowship in Printmaking, Drawing and Books Arts; a 2008-09 Workspace Residency at Dieu Donné; and a full fellowship to attend the Yale in Norfolk residency program. Her work has been featured in shows at Bellwether Gallery, Dieu Donne, and Deitch Studios, and in print in The New York Times and Art in America. She is currently preparing for her second New York solo exhibition at Tracy Williams Ltd.

Share an evening of drink and discussion with this exciting young artist. Enjoy the work on display in this unique setting, and an engaging discussion of Ms. Pheobus' methods and motives. Early registration $10, or $15 after November 9. Space is limited, and we expect this exclusive after-hours event to sell-out. Register today at
