Did you know...

There are over 33 million people worldwide living with HIV/AIDS according to the World Health Organization

1.1 billion people in developing countries have inadequate access to water, and 2.6 billion lack basic sanitation

Rural areas account for three in every four people living on less than one US dollar a day

Come to the Global Brigades information session on Wednesday, February 10 at 8:00 in LC 317!

You will have the opportunity to hear more about the three Yale chapters of Global Brigades: AIDS Brigades, Water Brigades, and Microfinance Brigades. Find out how you can get involved in one of the world's largest global health and sustainable development organizations!  With AIDS Brigades, Water Brigades, and Microfinance Brigades, you can be be part of a student-led effort to provide HIV testing and counseling, water sanitation systems, and microcredit loans to under resourced villages in Honduras and Panama.  Yale Global Brigades has a 5-year commitment to the rural communities of Honduras and Panama. Unlike other Yale service trips, Yale Global Brigades gives students the chance to return to the community and continue their work over a number of years, building valuable relationships with the people who live there.  Unable to make the meeting?  No worries; e-mail This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript  for more information.
