Winter Break in Puerto Cayo, Ecuador!!

Monday, December 27 - Saturday, January 8 (13 days)

Info Sessions: Tuesday, September 28th, 8pm and Thursday October 7th, 8pm---both in Berkeley North Court Basement.


Join a team of Yale students to create sustainable ecotourism in coastal Ecuador.  Learn about NGO work and sustainable development.
 

  • Plant three community gardens; teach English and Environmental Education classes; organize a beach clean-up day; create a visitors center; and market Puerto Cayo by creating a website with student testimonials.
  • Meet with five NGOs and governmental organizations in Quito and Puerto Rico, Ecuador.
  • Celebrate New Years with other international tourists in Montaņita, a hip surfer town.
  • Fashion a five-year vision to further Puerto Cayos development, implementing strategic English instruction, marketing, and sustainability projects.

 

To learn more about the trip and how to apply, attend one of our two info sessions--First Info Session: Tuesday, September 28th, 8pm. Second Info Session: Thursday, October 7th, 8pm. Both info sessions will be held in the Berkeley North Court Basement. (Enter through Entryway H in courtyard without the dining hall.)
