After two full decades, Burma will finally have its first election on November 7th. As the date approaches, however, observers' doubts over the election's openness, fairness and legitimacy only continue to grow. Join panelists Myra Dahgaypaw of the US Campaign for Burma, U Gawsita of the All Burma Monks Alliance, U Kyaw Zan Tha of Voice of America and moderator Prof. James C. Scott in a discussion on democracy in Burma, human rights, the Buddhist sangha's political role and the upcoming election and its implications.
