Dr. Joia S. Mukherjee is an Associate Professor in the Division of Global Health Equity at the Brigham and Womens Hospital and Harvard Medical School, as well as the Medical Director of Partners In Health (PIH). In her role as the Medical Director of PIH, Dr. Mukherjee has been involved in implementing programs to increase access to health care and reduce health disparities by strengthening community based public programs in developing countries such as Haiti, Rwanda, Lesotho, Malawi and Peru. She has also consulted for the World Health Organization on the treatment of HIV and MDR-TB in developing countries and is a member of the Executive Board of Health Action AIDS, an effort carried out in collaboration with Physicians for Human Rights. Dr. Mukherjee received her MD from University of Minnesota and MPH from Harvard School of Public Health. Dinner will be provided.
