YUSBS presents the first faculty dinner of the semester with Professor Richard Prum in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Dept. at Yale University. Join us on Monday, February 14 from 6-7 pm in the Pierson College Blair Room, which is upstairs from the Pierson library (YUSBS members will be present to direct you). Please bring your dinner from the dining hall. Professor Prum, William Robertson Coe Professor of Ornithology, Curator of Ornithology in the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History, and Head Curator of Vertebrate Zoology, will share his research interests and related life experiences, as well as give students advice on how to succeed in the scientific field. He teaches Ornithology, Laboratory for Ornithology, and Evolution of Beauty this semester. He has conducted field work throughout the Neotropics and in Madagascar, has studied fossil theropods in China, and was one of 24 recipients of the 2009 MacArthur Foundation "Genius Grant".
