Come join October Project co-founders and Yale roommates Marina Belica & Julie Flanders for an unforgettable evening of magic, atmosphere and music at the "LIVE AT THE LOFT" concert series in downtown Manhattan this October 14th & 15th. October Project fans have come to NY from all over the country and even from other parts of the world to enjoy the unique, intimate pleasure of an unplugged concert in a gorgeous Soho loft, surrounded by beautiful art and nourished by wine and hors d'oeuvres. Featuring the internationally acclaimed magic of Ben Robinson, and performances by special guest artists, the loft concert series has been sparking a great deal of excitement in audiences and the music community. Joining OP will be Martha Colby on cello and New York's Benelli Brothers, Craig & Chris, on guitar and percussion. Don't miss this as our next loft concerts will not be until January! Friday will feature a rare, special guest appearance by Richard Barone, an extraordinary musician, songwriter and performer. From his beginnings in music as "The Littlest DJ" on a Tampa radio station at age 7… to producing Tiny Tim at age 16…to fronting the Bongos in the 80s…to recording his 5th solo album and publishing a book of memoirs, Richard is a New York pop icon. On Saturday we are joined by Francine Wheeler, a heartfelt and honey-voiced singer/songwriter with a background in classical, Broadway, cabaret, swing and pop. Featured on the cover of the September issue of Working Mother Magazine, she has recently released an album of music for children of all ages entitled "Come Sit Beside Me," a collaboration with her husband, David Cole Wheeler. Children are invited, free! Just let us know how many you will bring.
