The Public Service/Social Justice Committee of the YALE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF METROPOLITAN NEW YORK is proud to call on volunteers to help out approximately 750 fellow New Yorkers that seek a warm meal and other assistance from this soup kitchen. Volunteers will put meals on trays, hand out coffee & water, clean trays and distribute clothes. At 3:00, volunteers will clean the tables & chairs and sweep the floors. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothes, like a t-shirt and jeans, as well as closed shoes and a cap (otherwise, you will need to wear a hairnet). Also, be proud to wear YALE logo attire! Children 14 and older may volunteer with a parent/guardian. Your help is greatly needed, especially during this challenging time. Following the event, volunteers will unwind at Heartland Brewery in Union Square (35 Union Square). We look forward to seeing you.
