OYE - Yale's Latino Spoken Word Group

 

Founded in the Fall of 2007, Oye is Yale's first Latino spoken word group. Based on weekly workshops that explore various topics relating to Latino identity, Oye welcomes students from diverse backgrounds to come together and write, discuss, and perform. After finishing its first show, "Se Habla Latino," featuring 15 pieces from its 10 members, Oye is looking forward to its promising future as an outstanding performance group in the Yale Latino community.

 
Suggested donation of $25 to benefit the Yale Latino Cultural Center Fund, which provides support for the Latino Cultural Center, including the Latino Alumni Prize, which honors two graduating seniors who have shown an outstanding commitment to the Latino community at Yale while maintaining a high level of academic excellence.
