Charles Best ('98) founded [http://www.donorschoose.org DonorsChoose.org] back in 2000, while he was a teacher in the Bronx. Mike Everett-Lane ('92) joined the organization 5 years later. DonorsChoose uses the internet to help public school teachers get resources for their classrooms. Now DonorsChoose is in the Final Five of the [http://www.membersproject.com/Education/5630 American Express Members Project] contest, which will award $1 million to the project that gets the most votes from American Express card holders.
