Work in Womens Health and Education in Kenya this summer!
Dream of building deep connections while making positive change in developing communities?
Join Give Us Wings, an international nonprofit organization as we travel to Nyaoga, Kenya this summer!
A group of young women in rural Kenya has joined together to break through established paradigms and lead development in their area. In the face of a regional history of slow improvements, with the support of Give Us Wings, they have already built a community Health Clinic that will be managed fully by the community by this July. This summer, a group of Yale students is living with families and health clinic staff in this rural village to partner with these women as they continue their work.
Come with us and work in the health clinic while supporting other development projects:
-An adult education network for women
-Cooperative agriculture training
-Public and community health education
-Safe water irrigation
-Ending alienation of community members with AIDS/HIV
The project will take place during the first half of the summer, throughout June and part of July. Come gain valuable experience working in development projects on the ground, broaden your perspective of global health, and build real connections with these amazing women.
