We would like to welcome all juniors and underclassmen to come learn about Teach For America. This is an opportunity to speak with representatives from the organization, as well as some Yale/TFA alumni, about their corps member experiences. *
*Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates and working professionals - of all academic majors, backgrounds and career interests - who commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools and become lifelong leaders for expanding educational opportunity for all children.
Each year, Teach For America selects a diverse corps of individuals who have the skills and commitment to make a real impact on the academic prospects of students growing up today in low-income communities, and to exert long term leadership in the effort to eliminate educational inequity. Teach For America corps members receive extensive training, full salaries and benefits, as well as continual support through a two-year professional development program to ensure their success as teachers and beyond.
Today there are more than 14,000 Teach For America alumni working in a variety of sectors, including business, education, law, medicine, and public policy. Please visit our website to learn more: www.teachforamerica.org
Please join us for an information session and learn how you can join in the movement to end educational inequity (snacks will be served). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Crystal Tang at crystal.tang@teachforamerica.org
