Creative Destruction--the company that brought you OBAMA DRAMA in 2008--presents 8TRACK: B-SIDES & MASH-UPS, a one-night event of daring, experimental performances-in-the-making at the 45th Street Theatre. 8TRACK is both a showcase and experiment the B-Sides will showcase solo-generated work, while the mash-ups are 5-10 minute pieces that have resulted from the collaboration of a range of diverse performance artists. For this event, Creative Destruction is taking seventeen artists ranging from spoken word poets to dance to mask theatre- and bringing them together to create a short work of art, inspired by the issues facing the country today.

8TRACK is produced Nelson Eusebio (YSD 07), Kelly L. Miller, and Cat Tate Starmer(YSD 06). The B-Sides feature excerpts of new plays by David Wiener, Anna Ziegler, and Matt Schatz; a spoken-word performance by Lanna Joffrey as well as a musical performance by The Mighty Third Rail. The Mash-ups will feature collaborative performances between artists such as the dance company Impulse Initiative, Homonculus Mask Theatre, composers Hillary Charnas(YSD 05), Amy Altadonna(YSD 07), Sharath Patel (YSD 06), choreographer Tiffany Rachelle Stewart (YSD 07), and directors Nelson T. Eusebio III (YSD 07) and Tea Alagic (YSD 07).
