Christine Jacobs-Wagner, Professor of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and HHMI investigator, is hosting UWISAY dinner this week! She received her B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Liège in Belgium and her Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Liège and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. She is the recipient of Women in Cell Biology Junior Award from the American Society of Cell Biology and Pew Scholars Program Award in the Biological Sciences. Her research is focused on cell cycle control and cytoskeleton, and she is interested in building a mathematical model that accurately describes how bacteria keep their organization and morphology. Come talk to our prominent faculty about her life and about her current research in microbiology!
