So we lost to them at football and hockey. It's time to reclaim victory.
We need YOU to come to the Yale-Harvard Blood Drive Challenge, hosted by
the American Red Cross at Yale, February 1st through 4th! Last year, we
blew away the competition by collecting 301 units of blood to Harvard's
198. This time, with your help, we hope to do even better!
Plus, the Red Cross currently has an EMERGENCY NEED for blood,
particularly type O negative, to meet both local and international
demand. Connecticut alone is experiencing a severe blood shortage, so
your donation is greatly appreciated. One pint of blood can save three
lives. Please take this opportunity to make a difference and support a
great cause!
PLEASE NOTE: The Yale-Harvard Drive will run from 1 to 6:30 pm on Monday
and Tuesday, Feb. 1-2, in the Sterling Library Lecture Hall, and from 12
to 5:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday at TOAD's Place.
To sign up, please go to www.yale.edu/redcross/signup Log in using your
netID and password, then click the "Sign up" link in the lower right
hand corner. Enter your personal info (try the automatic fill), select
any time that has slots left, and click "submit." Please contact your
blood drive coordinators (see below) if you have questions. Once you
successfully sign up, you will automatically receive a confirmation with
your appointment time, which you are free to change if necessary. Also,
we will send you a reminder one day before your appointment.
