Then Girls Run is the perfect place for you!
Girls Run is an after-school program for fourth to seventh grade girls that encourages healthy lifestyles through running. During each weekly session of Girls Run, coaches will focus not only on the physical training of our participants, but also on their knowledge of six key issues: tolerance, self-esteem, body image, nutrition, goal-setting and leadership. At the end of the six-week program, the girls will run in a one-mile race. We hope to inspire confidence in our participants by helping them to complete one goal: to finish the race, no matter how long it takes!

for a Coach application! Coaches are assigned one day of the week to lead sessions with other coaches. Sessions are in the afternoons Monday through Thursday, after school for the girls, and last an hour. We ask that coaches commit to making 5 of their 6 sessions. This semester, Girls Run will begin the week of February 22 until March 4, and pick up after the break the week of March 22 and continue until April 15. Applications are due February 10.
