Teach For America: FINAL Application Deadline- Friday, February 19th

Want to make an immediate impact after college? Want to learn the skills that will make you an incredible leader?  Want to make equality and justice a reality in our school systems?  Apply now to join the 2010 corps! The application is easy (a resume and 1 brief essay) and the entire process is non-binding.

Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates and working professionals - of all academic majors, backgrounds and career interests - who commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools and become lifelong leaders for expanding educational opportunity for all children.

Each year, Teach For America selects a diverse corps of individuals who have the skills and commitment to make a real impact on the academic prospects of students growing up today in low-income communities, and to exert long term leadership in the effort to eliminate educational inequity. Teach For America corps members receive extensive training, a full salary and benefits, including an Americorps scholarship, as well as continual support through a two-year professional development program to ensure their success as teachers and beyond.

Today there are more than 17,000 Teach For America alumni working in a variety of sectors, including business, education, law, medicine, and public policy.
