About Deborah
Deborah Cox has conquered the R&B, pop, and dance charts as another one of legendary record mogul Clive Davis' personal discoveries. A Grammy nominated R&B singer, she holds the Billboard all time record for the longest running number one single on the R&B chart (Nobody's Supposed to be Here), in addition to multiple number one club hits around the world. Having starred on Broadway in Elton John and Tim Rices "AIDA," playing the title role, she returns in 2011 to light up the stage as the lead  in "The Josephine Baker Story." In 2007, she paid effusive tribute to a childhood idol of hers, the beloved Dinah Washington, with her Decca album, Destination Moon, that catapulted her into the ranks of the leading jazz singers of our time. Writing another chapter in her already diverse career, the album garnered Deborah yet another Grammy Award nomination in 2008. Currently Deborah is in demand for concerts around the globe and has made recent appearances on tour in Australia, South Africa, Brazil, Barbados, the USA and her native Canada in support of her latest CD The Promise.
