Dear Yale students,

I write to inform you of some exciting initiatives focused on the intersection of human rights as an academic field of study and the comprehensive development and implementation of human rights principles.

Confronting enduring problems of political repression, social inequality, inter-ethnic violence, and other human rights abuses demands substantive academic inquiry, as well as the education of a new generation of leaders sensitive to the complexity and interrelated dimensions of these problems. This will require systematic, sustained pedagogy in the field of human rights studies at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Join with us to bring a disciplined academic perspective to the definition, analysis, and implementation of human rights agendas.

Click Here to Reserve your Place at the Human Rights in Academia Conference (Saturday, April 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Linsly-Chittenden Hall (LC), Room 102)

At the conference you will meet prominent academics, practitioners, and world leaders working on human rights issues. Advancing the status of human rights studies while generating energy, collaboration, and action is the larger objective of the conference. For more information on the Conference Click Here.
