Are you going to be in New Haven this summer?

Looking for a way to make a difference in the community?

Want to forge personal connections with New Haven residents while helping them find employment and housing?

Become a VOLUNTEER CASE MANAGER  at

NO CLOSED DOORS

YHHAP'S CASE MANAGEMENT AGENCY

YHHAP's No Closed Doors, a student-run case-management agency serving low-income New Haveners, is now accepting applications for its team of volunteer case managers. Case managers will be trained to help clients meet their employment, housing, and other needs. Be a part of a team that makes a difference in people's lives every day!

No Closed Doors is open Monday to Friday, and case managers are expected to serve one to two hours per week during office hours. During office hours, case managers handle appointments and walk-ins and work together with clients toward securing employment, housing, benefits, and more, as well as refer clients to other agencies.

No Closed Doors is respected throughout New Haven and receives referrals from several agencies, including from City Hall. Working at NCD is fun and can be extremely rewarding: regardless of outcomes, clients are always grateful for the support they receive from NCDcase managers.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED - There will be 2 mandatory training sessions: Part One on Sunday, April 17th, at 11 am (location to be announced) and Part Two on either Tuesday April 19th or Wednesday April 20th at the NCD office. New volunteers will also get to come into the office for a shift during the week of April 25th, to observe & work with experienced volunteers.
