Bob Lamm, 1969, a former Visiting Lecturer at Yale, will be teaching two classes this fall at NYU's School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
"Novels With a Social Conscience" will be in its fourth semester at NYU. We will examine eight novels that illuminate injustices evident in cultures and communities while telling moving, memorable stories. Special focus will be given to issues of gender, race, and class. The authors include John Steinbeck, Carson McCullers, Richard Wright, Budd Schulberg, Chinua Achebe, Gloria Naylor, Mark Haddon, and Marjane Satrapi. For more information, go to:

"The Joy of Improv," an improv comedy class for beginners and nonperformers, ran from 2001 to 2009 at the CUNY Graduate Center and will be in its third semester at NYU. Enjoy creating improvisational comedy in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. No performing experience is necessary; just a willingness to experiment, play, and laugh with others.
