The Connecticut Policy Institute (CPI), a recently founded non-partisan think-tank on public policy in Connecticut, is looking to hire current Yale undergraduates or graduate students to serve as Research Associates, beginning in September 2011.
The CPI is a non-partisan not-for-profit research organization dedicated to developing responsible, research driven public policy for Connecticut. The Institute will also seek to provide citizens easy access to a broad range of thoughtful analysis and other reliable information on politics and state government. The CPI was founded in 2011 by Tom Foley, the 2010 Republican nominee for governor of Connecticut.
CPI Research Associates will work with the Executive Director and CPI Fellows to draft policy papers on issues relevant to Connecticut. Research Associates will also monitor Connecticut newspapers, journals, and blogs for articles related to Connecticut politics, policy, and government. These articles will be reposted on the Institutes website, which will serve as an information gateway for citizens looking to stay engaged with Connecticut politics, policy, and government. Research Associate is an in-house, part-time, paid staff position.
We encourage applicants of all political persuasions interested in engaging with the public policy challenges facing Connecticut. Interested applicants should email a resume and transcript to Ben Zimmer, CPI Executive Director, at This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript . Please direct any questions to Ben at the same email address.
