The Provisional Member Group Coordinator works closely with the Program Director, Johnny Scafidi, during the process; and not only leads the membership committee in evaluating each of the groups applying for Dwight Hall membership, but also serves to advise the new groups in assuring their sustainability, success, and integration into the Hall’s community.

It is the responsibility of the Public Relations PR Coordinator to communicate the activities, opportunities, and visions of Dwight Hall to the community. Justin proactively manages the placement of information into media outlets using press releases and direct communication to protect, publicize, and enhance the work and workings of the Hall. As there are many students who are unaware of all the resources that Dwight Hall has to offer, he serves as the contact person to direct people to their specific areas of interest. In addition, Justin sends out the weekly Dwight Hall email newsletter, the D-Holla. He also helps to plan Dwight Hall events.

Community-Based Learning Coordinator:
Carolynn Molleur-Hinteregger 603.978.1172
Carolynn will be furthering the development of a more permanent infrastructure for Community-Based Learning (CBL) at Yale by bringing in speakers, researching programs at other schools, and creating a focus group to evaluate the current pilot programs. CBL initiatives have gained significant support over the past three years from both University and community members. This is an exciting project moving beyond its formative stage, and Carolynn would be happy to have your involvement or answer any question.
Faculty Outreach Coordinator:
Anjali Varma 917.865.2495
The goals of this position are: 1) to familiarize faculty from across the University with the mission and programs of Dwight Hall; and 2) to encourage a strong working relationship between professors/departments and Dwight Hall groups through which students can avail themselves of faculty resources. Anjali seeks to implement these goals by meeting with a broad range of department chairs and professors to discuss both the current nature of Dwight Hall and the interests or experience they might bring to bear on its improvement. Anjali will also work to partner faculty with inclined student organizations, arrange lectures, and generally promote dialogue about the most effective use of University resources.
Community In-Reach Coordinator:
Jessica Bialecki 203.687.5309
The Community In-Reach Coordinator is responsible for organizing panels and events that attempt to bring the larger New Haven community, and particularly leaders in the public service and non-profit fields of this community, into Dwight Hall. The goal of the position is to create a space in which residents and leaders from the New Haven community can tackle tough issues alongside Yale students and faculty, issues that have been identified by Dwight Hall's member groups as relevant to and useful for the work they do. As In-Reach Coordinator, Jessica also works to bring into Dwight Hall members of the greater Yale community who might not otherwise have much interaction with the Hall and the service and social justice community it fosters, with the targeted audiences ranging from student government organizations to prospective students to cultural houses.
